How we can help

Preconception care

The three to four months prior to conception is the most important time in preparing for a healthy baby. Preconception health care lays a strong foundation for healthy sperm and eggs in creating a healthy pregnancy and baby.

Correcting any nutritional deficiencies and addressing any underlying factors such as being overweight or underweight, thyroid issues, anxiety or hormonal imbalances will lead to the best outcomes for pregnancy and beyond.

Menstrual health

For women, in particular, hormonal conditions can have a debilitating effect on their lives, from physical changes to mental stress during puberty, reproduction, pregnancy, peri-menopause, and menopause.

Naturopathic treatments have been proven to alleviate hormonal imbalances to improve symptoms and restore balance, to your life.  Conditions I treat include PMS, PMDD, PCOS, endometriosis, menopause, fibrocystic breast disease and thyroid issues.

IVF Support

Unfortunately for some women and men, falling pregnant doesn’t always go as planned. IVF may be needed for various reasons and optimising nutrition for healthier sperm and eggs can help achieve better success in IVF cycles.

The healthier the woman and man are (or sperm donor) the more successful outcome IVF may be, resulting in a healthy pregnancy and baby.

Immune

Natural therapies arm the immune system against viral and bacterial infections and support it during an allergic response.

So many of us are run down and leading busy lives, and the support from supplements and herbs can reinvigorate our immune response to conditions such as coughs, colds, flu, pneumonia, recurring coughs, hay fever and sinus, mouth ulcers and cold sores.

Mental Health

Seeking support for mental health disorders is vital and working with a trusted professional on your healing journey is just as important.

In a comforting environment, we can create a support plan for you, working in conjunction with your other health practitioners or as a starting point to help with depression, anxiety or panic attacks.

Babies, Children & Teens

Helping your family be as happy and healthy as they can is something we all strive for as parents.

Childhood illnesses and teen problems can be stressful for everyone.  I love to provide support for children, and their parents, to nurture them through medical issues of illness and infection and mental health issues and behavioural problems. I consult on a myriad of conditions and issues including colic, impetigo, warts, molluscum contagiosum, recurring ear infections, tonsillitis, asthma, eczema, urinary tract infections, thrush, acne, anxiety, fear, worry, behavioural problems, insomnia, and depression.

Men’s Health

My practice provides a supportive environment in which men can work to solve their health problems.

If you're facing health or emotional issues, natural therapies can offer alternative support.  Whether you're experiencing fatigue, stress, anxiety, depression, prostate or erectile dysfunction or hormonal problems, we'll map out a plan of action to attack these issues and move you toward a healthier more energetic lifestyle.

Blood tests

Do you feel tired, run down and you can’t quite seem to put your finger on what’s wrong?

You visit the doctor who runs some blood tests.  They all come back normal, so you must be ok, right?  No, you know there has to be something wrong and there probably is.

Assisted by blood test results and taking a thorough case history, I am able to piece together underlying problems resulting in a person’s health issues.  Blood test results are an amazing tool to help identify imbalances, there is so much they can tell us to help prevent and treat health problems.  So if you feel something isn’t quite right, then get in touch.

Gut Health

One of the most common areas my patients seek help for is gut health, which plays an essential role in our overall wellbeing.

Don't ignore symptoms like bloating, constipation or diarrhoea. Causes can be dietary or allergy or conditions such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) or Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth (SIBO). Through diagnostics, we'll work toward understanding the nature of your problem, and will implement a program to relieve unpleasant symptoms and, where possible, heal and restore gut balance.
